I read this book right before and during the 1st few months and all this book offers is bad advice and a sense of fear. Suggesting to pay for hired help over paying real bills is a joke and for any normal person. All I can say as a mother of twins and working full time from home also - enjoy every moment, there will be hard times but so much joy over that, love it all and don't read this book it will only make you worry about things out of your control.6 of 6 people found the following review helpful.Appreciate the authors honesty!By CarrieThis book was so comforting to read as I was experiencing the first months of motherhood with my twin boys. The author is so right on while describing the thoughts and emotions you go through during the early stages of development and she is not afraid to tell the truth! My only regret is that I didn't buy the book BEFORE I had my boys as there is a lot of good info on how to deal with pregnancy and birth and the first weeks of their lives. I recommend this book to any expecting mom of twins! If nothing else, it reminds you to take a deep breath, relax, and enjoy your time with them no matter how crazy things may seem.2 of 2 people found the following review helpful.Some helpful tips and some not so muchBy TilbibI got this book because I was apprehensive about my husband going back to work and I was going to be at home all day with the twins. I can see why some people were put off by the author's writing voice. Some parts were funny but sometimes she was a little too matter of fact. For example she said to return all the clothes ppl give you and get those gowns that have the elastic on the bottom. Well a friend gave me those but my hubby and I hated them. You have to find what works best for you and your baby. The other thing she harped on was the need for a night nanny. Like really, how many people reading this book are going to have the resources for that. The most helpful part was the need and guide to put the twins on a schedule. Although her schedule didn't work the best for our babies it helped us find one that did. This helped us get lots more sleep. The first half the book was very detailed but then the second half seemed rushed. I would expect potty training to take up a chapter instead of a page and a half. So there are some good hints or ideas but the rest was so so.See all 74 customer reviews...
