Ashley is afraid of horses, but she agrees to help Mary-Kate investigate the strange occurrences surrounding her favorite horse, Hot Chocolate. Mary-Kate's bridle and saddle blanket were hidden, the horse's feet are muddied after Mary-Kate thoroughly cleaned them, and, when our twin heroines begin investigating the mysterious happenings, they're trapped in the stable loft by the unknown perpetrator. Mary-Kate's suspicions immediately fall on Charlotte Taylor, a snobby, unpleasant girl who has taken a dislike to Mary-Kate. Ashley is not so sure, and she insists that the twins complete a thorough investigation before coming to any conclusions.The "New Adventures of Mary-Kate and Ashley" mysteries are fun and engaging for young girls. Mary-Kate and Ashley are enthusiastic about life and about learning new things. Their investigations are age-appropriate and entertaining, and the twins make surprisingly good role-models for young readers. Ashley doesn't. But we both love mysteries! And that's exactly what we found at my horseback riding school!Someone was playing mean tricks on me there. And I needed Ashley to help me find out who it was.They already tried to steal my horse! Who knew what they would try next*******My review:I really enjoyed this book. It is a solid mystery where all clues point to the wrong person! The real horse-napping culprit is under their noses the entire time and the twins have a hard time discovering who it is.Overall a good mystery written by an author who seems to know what really goes on at an English riding stable. The story was very believable with good characters. I have no idea why the other two people who did this review gave the book one star. That was dumb. The book was VERY EXCITING. It kept me in suspense the whole time. Besides, one of the other people who reviewed this said he or she owns horses. If you own horses than it would make the book more exciting for you because you'd really understand what what going on. The other person who reviewed it said next time Mary-Kate and Ashley write a book they should do research first. They didn't even write the book, so you shouldn't blame them! Anyways, I loved this book. It was sooooo exciting, I couldn't stop reading it! I HIGHLY reccomend this book to anyone.
