Lee Gramling is a fantastic author and you can't go wrong with any of his stories of the early days of the development of Florida. The hero of Ninety-Mile Prairie is a thoughtful young man who meets a couple of Northerners who are not familiar with the ways of the prairie and goes to great lengths to protect them from the unscrupulous bad guys. The story never loses your interest and moves at a fast pace.
